Starting his career as a wireline engineer with Schlumberger, Mexico in 2004, he first joined a local construction company as the Quality Technical Coordinator in 2003, and in 2007, he joined a local risk assessment company as General Manager.
In 2012, Rizan was a Business Development Manager within Bureau Veritas and Head of Technical HSE.
“My role as the Country Chief Executive is to provide leadership, drive profit and loss of Brunei businesses including Commodities (Inspectorate), Industry, Building and Infrastructure, Certification, and Government Services and International Trade (GSIT),” he said in a statement.
Bureau Veritas commenced operations in Brunei in February 1989, with a main office located at Kuala Belait and a site office located at Brunei Shell Petroleum Co Sdn Bhd (BSP), Seria.
